Description
This 1950s platinum ring, designed by renowned American jeweler David Webb, features a stunningly saturated cabochon sapphire weighing 17.02 carats. The natural sapphire is of Burmese origin and has not been heat treated. It’s surrounded by seven channels of bright white baguette-cut diamonds separated by pave-set round brilliant-cut diamonds with an estimated total weight of approximately 5.00 carats. The inside shank bears the signature “Webb” along with the weight of the sapphire inscribed as 17.02. This size 5.5 ring can be resized and comes in its original leather box from David Webb along with a letter of authenticity from David Webb and GIA and C. Dunaigre reports.
